Vodafone has been recognised as a Leader in the inaugural 2025 Gartner® Magic QuadrantTM for 4G and 5G Private Mobile Network Services.
A Gartner Magic Quadrant is a culmination of research in a specific market, giving a wide-angle view of the relative positions of the market’s competitors. It graphically shows the competitive positioning of four types of technology providers, including Leaders, Visionaries, Niche Players and Challengers, in markets where growth is high, and provider differentiation is distinct:
- Leaders execute well against their current vision and are well positioned for tomorrow.
- Visionaries understand where the market is going or have a vision for changing market rules, but do not yet execute well,
- Niche Players focus successfully on a small segment or are unfocused and do not out-innovate or outperform others, and
- Challengers execute well today or may dominate a large segment, but do not demonstrate an understanding of market direction.
The Gartner view of the 4G and 5G Private Mobile Network Services market is focused on transformational technologies or approaches to delivering on the future needs of end users. It is not focused on the market as it is today.
For the Magic Quadrant report, 14 companies were evaluated on their ‘Ability to Execute’ and ‘Completeness of Vision’. Vodafone was identified as being furthest to the right on the Completeness of Vision axis.
Jennifer Didoni, Head of Cloud, Edge and MPN Portfolio for Vodafone Business, said: “We are delighted to be named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant. Building, operating and fixing networks is in our blood.
“We can draw on our 40-year pedigree as a technology communications leader to provide organisations with dedicated and secure connectivity over multiple geographical regions where privacy, performance, and real-time responsiveness are crucial. In addition, our Mobile Private Network Managed Services monitor and support our customers critical network infrastructure 24-hours a day, seven days a week, from our engineering and innovation hub.”
About Vodafone Business Mobile Private Networks
Vodafone has successfully deployed many private mobile networks using its advanced management approach. This ensures that a customer can overcome complexities such as careful radio planning to ensure that the coverage is optimised, and security is maximised. This is especially important if connecting with the outer public network and off-site end users.
In addition, bringing together a private mobile network with Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) gives customers secure connectivity and powerful computing from the edge of the network, in places that previously couldn’t be connected.
