Vodacom Announces the Sale of Gateway Carrier Services

On 31 May 2012, Vodacom entered into an agreement to sell certain investments, supplier agreements and assets of Gateway Carrier Services¹, which forms part of Vodacom Business Africa Group (Pty) Limited, to PCCW Global Ltd. for cash consideration of US$26.4 million on a cash-free-debt-free basis. The agreement will only become effective following the fulfilment of certain closing conditions set out in the agreement.
