Vodafone support for the emergency relief effort in Haiti totals over £275,000.
Vodafone Foundations in Spain (€25,000), UK (£100,000*) and USA ($10,000) have allocated funds towards the
Red Cross Appeals. The Foundation in the Netherlands and Ireland have each allocated €10,000 towards the appeal for funds, the Foundation in Czech Republic £10,000, and Romania €3,000. The Vodacom Foundation in South Africa has pledged £120,000 towards the deployment of medical teams to assist with the tragedy. In addition, The
Vodafone Group Foundation funded partners Telecoms Sans Frontieres and World Food Programme have been utilising partnership funds to deploy to the country. Vodafone companies in Italy and the Czech Republic have also provided SMS facilities to a number of NGOs engaged in raising funds for the disaster.

Vodafone companies across the Group have been responding to the crisis in Haiti through working with NGOs in enabling SMS fundraising to provide additional fundraising capacity for Haiti appeals. Vodafone Foundations are engaged in working with both the company and the NGO community in enabling this to happen.
